THE HOUNDED GIVES IN TO THE CHASE!
The "Hound of Heaven" has been calling me today, reminding me of God's relentless pursuit. Author, Francis Thompson wrote his enduring poem, The "Hound of Heaven," more than 100 years ago. Written in Old English and based on Psalm 139, yet, even the modern day reader cannot miss the meaning of the story. Propelled forward at a heart-pounding pace, the story tells of a soul being chased through life by a Hound who will not give up His quest. Finally the hounded hears the Voice of Love and gives in to the chase.
