Humanly speaking, after twenty years serving the poor, homeless and destitute, at best we only offer a band-aid to these poor souls. Only God can fix massive poverty on a global scale with His justice, equity, mercy and grace. That is why the Scriptures teach us to "hasten the day of His coming." To pray, "Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Marriage—A Symbol, A Sign of Christ and the Church
"Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, the church is subject to Christ as His bride.
"Husbands, loving your wives, is a sign just as Christ also loves the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by His word, that He might present the Bride to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that the Bride should be holy and without blemish.
"For we are members of the body of Christ, of His own flesh and of His bones, just as Eve came from the flesh and bone of Adam. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery here, but I am speaking to you concerning Christ and His Bride, the Church." WHY DOES THE SLY DECEPTION OF PANTHEISM NOT WORK?
A young lady by the name of Haley, recently wrote to me on Linkedin that God made humans like a giant puzzle when put together reflects the image of Christ. Hindus know about the Chakra. Jewish people know the law. Muslims know true denial of self and purity of heart. Rastafarians know the hidden truth behind medical cannabis. Chinese people understand herbal remedies. Druids know the mystical powers. Buddhists know how to meditate. New age people know the power of vibrations. Mormons know the sacred mother who is holy, etc. etc.
PANTHEISM IS HERESY
Although her thoughts sound novel, she is describing ancient religious thought. Pantheism - a doctrine which identifies God with the universe, or regards the inclusion of everyone and everything as God. Also, a worship that admits or tolerates all gods and religions.
CHRIST-CENTERED RESPONSE
Haley, it depends on flying to the moon. It's an analogy. Pick a single engine plane like atheism or twin-engine plane like Hindu, you will fly, but you will not get there. The only rocket service that gets you to your destination is Christ. Why is that so? There is no dead body. Mohammad. Dead. Buddha. Dead. Jesus, Risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of God the Father the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
If Jesus did not rise from the dead, then our rocket to heaven is dead and we are all deceived losers, most pitied. Before ascending to heaven, Jesus commanded, "GO into all the world baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." Either Jesus was a crazy man or he meant what he said. Peter told the crowd on Pentecost, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your family will be saved."
